Fax broadcasting works. And the many testimonials that we have received (both published and unpublished) confirm this. All the testimonials that we have refer to results obtained from impersonal, bulk faxing which can, if the product and headline are right, generate impressive results.

Logic tells us (and it should tell you) that the above personal approach must give your fax a greater chance of being read than simply sending out another impersonal fax. If the read rate on impersonal faxes is 10% then it should at least double to 20% with the personal approach.

We know it works. We recently tested a campaign for a client that involved sending out 100k impersonal faxes followed by 100k personalized ones. While the client was more than happy with the results from the impersonal campaign they were especially delighted to see a 200% increase in the response rate when the personal approach was adopted. Their delight was of course all the greater with the realization that the increased cost of personalization added only about 50% to the cost of the job, yet resulted in a 200% greater return. This of course significantly reduced the cost per lead.

Expressed in simple terms the numbers look like this.

Spend £1250 on standard, impersonal fax to send say 100,000 faxes and get a 0.25% response (250 replies) thereby averaging £5 lead OR

Spend £1875 on personalized fax (maybe a bit more/less depending on number of fields used) going to 100,000 recipients and getting a 0.05% response (500 replies) thereby averaging £3.75 per lead.

Telephone Follow Up

Now, we know (and you probably also know) that a follow up telephone call to any written communication can double or treble the response rate. If you are really smart you’ll call the company before the fax goes out to say that a fax is on its way in the next day or two addressed to Mr. Jones and would the person clearing the faxes please ensure that Mr. Jones received the fax for you would be calling back in a few days. Taking this approach will undoubtedly lift your response even further so that instead of getting a 0.25% or 0.75% it could easily double or treble to as much as 1.5% or 2%.

Now, we can hear you saying. “I don’t like making sales calls” or “We don’t have the staff to make the calls” or “Call centers are too expensive and don’t get results”. Forget the excuses. We can handle all the calls for you if you wish and at a price that will literally “knock your socks off”. It’s certainly worth trialing at the very least.

The Good News

We have recently acquired at considerable expense from a highly reputable source a database of just under 400,000 FPS cleansed fax numbers which will be updated with new numbers every 90 days as part of our ongoing contract.

The database that we have acquired can be sorted on the following fields:

Company name
Phone number
Fax number
SIC (Industrial) classification
Turnover (not all companies)
Number of Employees
Managing Director / CEO

Therefore, for the first time we are able to offer either highly targeted or more general, but nevertheless personalized, faxing. And to top it off phone numbers are available for pre-sales or follow up calls.

Considering that a typical list broker will charge up to £200 per 1,000 records for the above data (single use) or £400 (multiple use) on annual license then our rates offer exceptionally good value.
